About

Brooklyn, NY by way of the Deep South.

I have been living and working in NYC for over 10 years and have a BFA in photography. I have been part of portfolio reviews and a juror for photo competitions. I believe visuals are the crux of communication and love bringing ideas to life across different platforms in a collaborative way. I am, unfortunately, Very Online and know how to harness trends. While photo is my main fling, I like being part of the bigger picture – be that creative direction, consulting, production, or guidance on other important components of visual communications like rights and clearances. Currently, I’m the Senior Photo Research Coordinator at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. I love getting to freelance when the show is on hiatus.

I’m also an organizer and activist in the labor movement. I have served on the News Guild of New York’s Executive Council, as well as Unit Chair, Unit Council, and Bargaining Committee. You’ve seen some of my organizing work in headlines: getting the media industry to share their salaries on an anonymous spreadsheet, and helping spearhead a campaign that led to many media shops getting Just Cause. I also led a Gannett publication to an election victory. I have a bleeding heart and think everyone deserves equitable treatment, fair pay, and access to affordable healthcare. My politics don’t have to mix with my assignments, but I love when they get to.

I spend a lot of my spare time at a pottery studio throwing mediocre ceramics. When I get a free evening, you can find me at my local yoga studio. When I’m not working or doing those things, I’m hanging out with my rescue dog, Lenny. And if you ever want to go thrifting, I’m your girl.
